Names Slack Barshinger “Agency of the Year”

23, 2004—The Business Marketing Association (BMA) has selected
Chicago-based Slack Barshinger from among seven marketing
communications agency finalists as its 2004 "Agency of the Year."
BMA's Agency of the Year award is presented annually to a U.S.
business-to-business marketing communications agency that through its
work is judged the best at creating sustainable competitive advantage
for its clients.
Slack Barshinger also was named BMA’s Agency of the Year two years ago,
in 2002. The agency recently captured 15 BMA Pro-Comm Awards, the most
of any agency in the 2004 competition, for seven of its clients. It
also captured the Best of Show award for its print ad work for eBay.
“With wins in almost every major Pro-Comm category, including the
larger of the two total communications program categories, Slack
Barshinger is proof that a single agency can master and excel at the
multiple disciplines across the entire marketing communications
spectrum,” said BMA Executive Director Rick Kean.
The agency will be formally recognized at BMA’s annual International
Conference, June 16-18, at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield,
CO.
Other 2004 “Agency of the Year” finalists were Fergus Peters Group, Des
Plaines, IL; HSR Business to Business, Cincinnati, OH; Maddock Douglas,
Inc., Elmhurst, IL; Mobium Creative Group, Chicago, IL; NKH&W,
Inc., Kansas City, MO; and Sullivan Higdon & Sink, Wichita, KS.
